Cure Day Hospitals opens the doors of same-day hospital in Mbombela

Cure Day Hospitals officially opened the doors of its new state-of-the-art same-day hospital in Mbombela last week.

This milestone event marks a significant step forward in providing accessible, high-quality, and cost-effective same-day surgical care to the Lowveld community.

The grand opening event was attended by doctors, suppliers, funders, representatives of the Department of Health, and industry friends. 

Specialist urologist and Cure Day Hospitals Mbombela chairperson Dr Rirhandzu Brighton Mashava and Akani Mashava attended the opening of the new hospital.

“Cure Day Hospitals Mbombela is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care with a focus on affordability, efficiency, and patient comfort,” says Cure Day Hospitals Mbombela marketing coordinator Jessica Prim.

“Our day hospital is equipped with cutting-edge technology and staffed by highly experienced medical professionals, ensuring that patients receive world-class care without the need for overnight hospitalisation.

“With the recent licensing from the Department of Health, Cure Day Hospitals Mbombela is fully operational and ready to serve the community,” she says.

Cure Day Hospitals Chief Executive Officer Bert von Wielligh addressed the guests at the opening of the new Cure Day Hospitals Mbombela.

Cure Day Hospitals Mbombela recently partnered with Penreach, a local non-profit organisation, to provide over 400 stationery packs to children in needy communities. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to make an impact on the Mbombela and greater Lowveld communities.

“Cure Day Hospitals is excited about the future of day-hospital services in Mbombela. Our vision is to expand access to same-day surgical care, support local specialists, and contribute to the overall well-being of the community, while reducing the burden on traditional hospital facilities,” Prim says.
