The journey of The Comfort Company has been one of growth and evolution. From its humble beginnings in December 2013, trading as Woodenways, Ria Burger took ownership in September 2014 and started providing customers with not just furniture, but an experience. The store moved into its current showroom in 2015.
A decade in the business is no small feat and crucial to the journey was the ability to adapt and evolve.

To ensure that our vision remains relevant we rebranded and our trading name changed from Woodenways to The Comfort Company in April 2023. This name change was part of our strategy to emphasise the strength of our capabilities, our growth, and our commitment to helping our customers find the comfort they deserve. I personally believe that the secret to our success lies in a commitment to quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and an unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction,” Ria says.

Furniture can be sourced specifically for customers or can be custom-made at one of the factories The Comfort Company buys from.”
To commemorate this remarkable milestone, The Comfort Company will offer a 10% discount on all floor stock for 10 days starting on 11 December 2023.
