Her co-accused (and former father-in-law) Johan Janse van Rensburg was granted bail of R10 000 on Monday.
They both appeared in the Nelspruit magistrate’s court on Monday afternoon after the Nelspruit Hawks had arrested them in Malalane on Monday morning.
Zietta (40) and Johan (73), an attorney at Van Rensburg Attorneys in Malalane, face charges of fraud, theft, and money laundering and are accused of defrauding a business person of approximately R14 million under the pretext of facilitating the purchase of a business site in Nelspruit. The matter dates back to 2021.
Investigating officer Richard Mandla Mphepheta also testified during the proceedings that he is investigating more cases against Zietta.

Both accused are expected to appear in the same court in May 2026.
Zietta is also expected to stand trial from 20 to 22 April in the Nkomazi District Court, sitting in Boschfontein, on charges of fraud, forgery, and uttering.
Johannesburg attorney, Marco Lamberti, represents Zietta in both cases.
Meanwhile, Hawks spokesperson Lt Col Mangonseni Nkosi confirmed that the Hawks had executed a search warrant on co-accused Johan Janse van Rensburg’s house and offices in Malalane yesterday (Wednesday 15 April). The warrant was obtained after the Hawks had received information about illegal firearms and ammunition from a source. However, the searches did not find any evidence of the alleged firearms or ammunition.
On the question of whether the Hawks regarded the source as reliable at the time that they received the information, Nkosi said that they would act on such a tip-off regardless, because the community’s safety might be at stake.
