The brand has a presence in more than 90 countries and serves more than 64 million riders worldwide, positioning it as a leader in reliable, efficient, and innovative two‑wheeler mobility.
Although TVS might not be very well known in South Africa, the company co-developed the BMW G310R’s engine with BMW and started manufacturing it in 2016. By 2018, TVS had manufactured 50 000 G310Rs.
In 2017, TVS launched the Apache RR310, with the same engine as the BMW. The latest version of this bike is now available here.
In 2020, TVS bought out the Norton Motorcycle Company in the UK.
Officially launched on 26 February 2026 in Johannesburg, TVS emphasised that South Africa is a key strategic market, strengthening its long‑term vision for growth and mobility development on the continent.
