Ford says this is one of the most significant refreshes of its local product line-up in recent years, as these vehicles are designed not just for adventure, but to deliver unparalleled peace of mind and enduring quality to its South African customers.

“These vehicles strengthen Ford’s presence across three important segments: the hard-working and lifestyle bakkie market, the family SUV category, and the premium adventure SUV space,” says Neale Hill, president of Ford SA’s Africa operations. “More importantly, this updated line-up brings the Ford Family Promise to life, a commitment built on over 102 years of Ford heritage in South Africa, focusing on transparency, exceptional service quality, and an ownership experience rooted in trust.
“South Africa remains a key market for Ford, and the introduction of the updated Ranger and Everest, alongside the new Territory, is a clear demonstration of our dedication to our customers. We are giving South Africans more choice and capability, but above all, we are giving them confidence. Our focus has shifted beyond just technical specifications; it is about investing in quality products and a trusted ownership experience that matter most to our Ford family,” Hill says.
“The recently revealed Everest Tremor will broaden the line-up’s off-road appeal and stimulate further demand from customers looking for a serious adventure SUV,” he said.
The Ranger line-up, built at Ford’s Silverton manufacturing plant in Pretoria, offers 23 derivatives. Customers can find a Ranger perfectly tailored to their needs.

Key updates include the new Ranger Sport with the 2.3 EcoBoost petrol engine, and the broader availability of Ford’s highly trusted 3-litre V6 turbodiesel engine. The upgraded 2-litre turbodiesel engine now has a timing chain specifically designed for enhanced durability.
Hill says the Everest range brings greater accessibility to Ford’s premium seven-seater SUV line-up, with a sharp focus on family safety and peace of mind. The new Everest Active serves as a highly capable entry point, while the Sport, Wildtrak, and Platinum models continue to offer a strong blend of refinement and reliable four-wheel drive performance.
The new Territory introduced in April further strengthens Ford’s SUV portfolio by offering a new design and reimagined interior translating into a refined, high-quality environment for modern families, says Hill. It is powered by Ford’s 1,8-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, has a spacious cabin, advanced driver-assist features, and seamless Ford App connectivity.
The Tremor nameplate will join the local Everest line-up later in the year, taking the SUV’s off-road capability to even greater heights. Ford will also introduce the legendary Ranger Super Duty to South Africa in 2027, bringing towing and workhorse performance to customers who demand the absolute toughest vehicles.
