The motorist fled the scene and remains at large.
The three victims were transported to a medical care facility, where one of the victims was declared dead on arrival.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo says police have launched an investigation and are currently searching for the suspect. The suspect will face charges of culpable homicide and reckless and negligent driving.

Police appeal to anyone who may have information that could assist in the investigation or lead to the apprehension of the suspect to contact their nearest police station or call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.
