The estate saw 130 cars at this year’s show, growing from 46 in the first year and 78 last year. Hospice was the sole beneficiary of donations on the day.

“We received R30 000 in cash donations and another R2 000 via card payments,” says Landi Bezuidenhout, CEO of Nelspruit Hospice.

“We engaged with almost 120 people, raising awareness of what Hospice does. The day was very well organised. Our volunteers are so reliable, and we want to thank every one of them who gave up his or her Saturday to come and stand in the hot sun with our staff and ask visitors for donations.

“The people gave freely; we received way more donations than what we had hoped for. We want to thank Bateleur for their continuing support, and their volunteers who helped make the day such a success. It is a privilege to see that Nelspruit Hospice is held in such high regard by the community,” Landi said.
