According to Mpumalanga police spokesperson Captain Mpho Nonyane, thirty three were arrested for contravening the Immigration Act of South Africa, four were arrested for public drinking, and one for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police investigators are working in collaboration with officials from the Department of Home Affairs to ascertain the status of the arrested suspects.
All thirty eight are expected to appear in the Sabie magistrate’s court and Pilgrim’s Rest periodical court on Tuesday.
