“While being on patrol on Wednesday police spotted a suspicious silver Toyota Etios with a Mpumalanga registration number. They stopped and searched the two occupants and the vehicle and inside the vehicle, they found a black jacket covering two rhino horns, two hunting rifles and ammunition,” says Mpumalanga police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane.

The two suspects were arrested and will appear at Witbank magistrate’s court on charges of possession of rhino horns, and unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
