The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency puts down six lions outside Mbombela

The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) has euthanised six lions at Mpakeni Village close to the town Kanyamazane in Mbombela.

“We acted swiftly and dispatched a team of experts to clear the area after it had been reported that six lions were roaming around the village. The lions escaped from Mthethomusha Nature Reserve on the southwestern border of the Kruger National Park,” says Simphiwe Shungube, spokesperson of the MTPA.

“We want to urge the community to always avoid contact with wild animals and report such incidents immediately.”

Wow… How barbaric and vile. You could’ve just darted them and relocated them. I will NEVER spend my tourism dollars in there.
