Twenty seven arrested and released on bail for drivers’ licence fraud

Twenty seven accused from three districts in Mpumalanga were released on bail by different magistrate’s courts on Monday and Tuesday after they had been arrested in Sabie, Graskop, Lydenburg and Verena for fraud, corruption and contravening the National Road Traffic Act.

Momo Beauty Mathebula (30), testing examiner, Roandey Mazuzu Mkhonto (49), testing examiner, and Jackson Mokoena (42), driving school owner, were arrested in Sabie on Monday and have been released on R5 000 bail each. Their case was postponed to 8 November.

Lucky Nhlahla Shabangu (45), Reneilwe Linah Phala (45), Seth Moleseng Mashile (55), all testing examiners, and Patracia Pretty Sekome (36), a driving school owner, were arrested in Lydenburg on Monday and have been released on R5 000 bail each. Their case was postponed to 6 November.

Eric Mawelele (57) and Bheki John Mamba (59) were arrested in Graskop and have been released on R10 000 bail each. Their case was postponed to 18 November.

Abram Mashiane (43), Tshepo Skhosana (48), Abram Mahlangu (43) and Sarah Ndala (59 ) were arrested at Verena, and Neo Lawrence Mofube (32) was arrested at Charl Cilliers, and have been releases on R1 000 bail each. The case has been postponed to 22 October.

David Kenneth Twala (49) was arrested on Tuesday at the Kabokweni Traffic Department and has been released on R5 000 bail. The case was postponed to 21 October.

Rodney Plus Nkuna (33) was arrested in Hazyview on Tuesday and was released on R2 500 bail. The case was postponed to 24 0ctober.

Sboniso Nkosi (38) and Bhekifa Mfankomo (51) were arrested in Nelspruit on Tuesday and have been released on R1 500 bail each. The case was postponed to 21 October.

August Veronica Nkambule (47) was arrested in Malalane and has been released on R3 000 bail. The case was postponed to 22 November.

Sipho Mkhonto (40) and Eleck’s Ngwamba (52) were arrested in White River and have been released on R2 500 bail each. The case was postponed to 24 0ctober.

Sylvester Goodman Hlaka (49) and Joseph Koos Mathebula (55) were arrested in Kanyamazane and released on R10 000 bail each. The case was postponed to 23 November.

Nomzamo Duba (39), S Mngwenya (29), RN Ntimane (41) and SS Makamo (64) were arrested in Calcutta and released on R5 000 bail each. The case was postponed to 14 November.
