One of the highlights of the day will be a demonstration by a real Formula-1 powerboat, courtesy of Powerboat Racing SA and Gauteng Racing and Development. There will also be Mouse Boats that are raced by juniors aged six to 19.

Another highlight will be the Water Fest Open Water Swimming Race presented by Mpumalanga Province Swimming.
Ramps to Runway will be running a Miss Water Fest and a Mr Water Fest pageant. Makro Mbombela will sponsor a potjiekos team competition, that will be held in Masterchef style, where all the ingredients will be provided by Makro. Prizes for the winning teams will also be sponsored by Makro.
Live entertainment throughout the day will be provided by Ivan Roux, Debbie Kriel, Just Sam, and the Moonshine Country Blues Band.

Children of all ages will be entertained with giant water slides, and there will be a separate entertainment and play area for the children.
For the hungry and thirsty there will be more than enough food vendors to choose from, as well as a beer garden and a gin & cocktail bar.
