Zietta (40) and Johan (73), an attorney at Van Rensburg Attorneys in Malalane, face charges of fraud, theft, and money laundering and are accused of defrauding a business person of approximately R14 million under the pretext of facilitating the purchase of a business site in Nelspruit. The matter dates back to 2021.

Both Johan and Zietta were released on bail of R10 000 and R6 000 respectively last month. Investigating officer Richard Mandla Mphepheta of the Nelspruit Hawks testified during the bail proceedings that he is investigating more cases against Zietta.

Johannesburg attorney Marco Lamberti represents Zietta, while Johan indicated that he will appoint representation in due course.
The case was referred to the Nelspruit regional court and the accused will appear on 29 June.
