According to Mpumalanga police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane, the incident reportedly occurred at around 05:30. It is alleged that the victim had just completed his shift as a part-time DJ at the tavern when he noticed his intoxicated friend in the company of an unknown male who was in possession of his friend’s bag and jersey. Out of concern, the victim questioned the suspect, who suggested that they step outside due to the loud music near the DJ booth.
