After colliding with the bakkie, the sedan swung across the road and collided with a heavy truck. Four victims, the driver and three passengers of the car, died at the scene.

The occupants of the bakkie were reportedly not found at the scene.
Spokesperson for the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison Moeti Mmusi says the cause of the crash is not clear at the moment and an investigation is already underway.
