This year the theme is LEKKER and the organisers are searching for pop-up artists (buskers) whose unique talents will be a LEKKER cherry on top at the festival.

According to Sandra Jacobs, marketing manager of the Innibos Arts Festival, the skill and creativity of pop-up artists will add a little extra flavour to the beloved Lowveld festival.

“From acrobatic stunts and miming to playing unusual instruments or even balancing a washing machine on your head – whatever you can do to entertain, it’s welcome!”

“You can showcase your talents freely on the festival grounds, and we’ll give you the opportunity to set out a hat for tips.”

What could be LEKKERDER than a festival filled with spontaneous, pop-up performers who can liven up the atmosphere anytime, anywhere?

“At Innibos, we believe LEKKER is more than just a taste – it’s a feeling, an atmosphere or vibe, and an experience you don’t want to miss! This is the perfect platform to share your artistic heart, and who knows, you might just bring the whole festival to a standstill with your unique talent,” she says.

How to apply:

  • Application forms are available on www.innibos.co.za under AANSOEKE and close on 31 January 2025.
  • Send your application to Adelene Niehaus at adelene@innibos.co.za.
  • Successful applicants will be notified by 28 February 2025. No further correspondence will be conducted with unsuccessful candidates.

Innibos offers every pop-up artist/busker free entry to the festival grounds and the opportunity to collect tips from festival-goers. Performers should be available for the entire duration of the festival.

“So, if you’re ready to share your art in the LEKKERSTE atmosphere the country has to offer, now’s your chance! Apply, showcase your talents, and make Innibos 2025 a LEKKER experience that festival-goers will remember for years to come,” Jacobs says.
