Mrs Mpumalanga finalist’s dream come true with new branch of Nicky’s Closet

Mrs Mpumalanga finalist Nicolien Voster partnered with Provincial Mpumalanga Ms finalists Minet Holtzhausen and Carlette Alberts to launch the Nelspruit branch of Nicky’s Closet at Nicher Business Centre in Nelspruit on Thursday evening.

When Nicolien opened the first branch of Nicky’s Closet in January 2019 in Middelburg, she had no idea how quickly the business would expand due to the high demand for a one-stop glamour shop.

When Nicolien entered the Mrs Mpumalanga pageant and was introduced to Minet and Carlette, she knew she found her business partners.

“It all happened so suddenly – one minute we were joking about it, and here we are one month later ready to welcome the public,” says Minet.

The partnership idea started when Carlette asked Nicolien who designed her crowning ceremony dress after she couldn’t find anything she liked in Nelspruit.

“When she told me it was her own brand, I jokingly suggested she open a Nelspruit branch, not knowing it was a dream of hers,” Carlette says

Thanks to the Nicher team providing them with the perfect location, this dream team of Minet on aesthetics, Carlette on logistics and Nicolien as owner, is well on their way to a successful business.

“The Mrs Mpumalanga pageant not only allowed me to grow as a woman, but as a business too,” says Nicolien.
