Have your pet vaccinated against rabies free of charge
The Pro-Life Pet Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption Agency invites the public to bring their cats and dogs to be vaccinated against rabies on Thursday (7 October) between 10:00 and 15:00. The vaccinations will be free of charge.
A drive-through system will be in place and people and their pets are to remain in their cars at all times.
Limited vaccinations are available and will be on a first-come-first-served basis. This offer is for one day only. All Covid-19 protocols will apply.
“Rabies is a fatal disease that is easily prevented with vaccination. Rabies kills humans and it is endemic to our area. So, not only is a rabies vaccination for pets required by law, but it is also essential in controlling the spread of this disease and paramount in keeping your family protected,” says Karin Erasmus of Pro-Life.
