The relay will start at 18:00 and end the next morning at 06:00.
“Whether you are a seasoned relayer, a survivor, a caregiver, or a supporter, we want you to join us for an unforgettable experience,” says Elsie Fourie, chairperson of the CANSA Relay for Life committee.
“The CANSA Relay for Life is an exciting event that brings communities together to take a stand against cancer. By participating, your team will be contributing to the fight against cancer and helping to make a difference in the lives of those affected.”
Participants can look forward to a fun-filled day of music, entertainment, and camaraderie, with inspiring stories from survivors and caregivers and a chance to honour loved ones affected by cancer.
Delicious food and refreshments and exciting activities and games for all ages will also be on offer.
“By participating in the CANSA Relay for Life, you’ll be supporting cancer research, education, and support services; honouring survivors and caregivers; remembering loved ones lost to cancer; and help to create a cancer-free future,” Elsie says.
A team of ten people can enter at a cost of R1 000 or an individual can take part at a cost of R100.
The deadline for team entries is 28 February next year. Early-bird registration before the end of December will cost only R800 per team.
