Business women meet for a morning of networking

The monthly networking session of the South African Council for Business Women (SACBW) took place last week at the brand new Just Pink Cafe & Venue at the Sonpark Centre in Nelspruit.

The venue was beautifully decorated and prepared everyone for what turned out to be a morning of creativity and fun.

Tracy-Erin Duggan, SACBW leader for Nelspruit, started the event by welcoming everybody and introducing the speakers for the day.

It was a morning of learning. Creative and inspirational design trends and tips were shared, followed by an opportunity for SACBW members to bring their own creative skills to life.

Estelle Roe and Tracy-Erin Duggan.

Nicole Touche, owner of Just Pink and cofounder of Lunar Kitchen and Cabinets, shared her experience as a designer and business woman and also spoke about the opportunities and challenges she faces every day. She spoke about bold, dynamic and functional designs and focussed on detail and texture and also emphasised the important role of design in everyday life.

Huibre Venter of Touch Wood Creations taught the women how to do decoupage and everybody had the opportunity to do their own cutting board.

With the theme of the meeting being Learn a new skill, Huibre Venter of Touch Wood Creations then taught the women how to do decoupage and everybody had the opportunity to do their own cutting board.

Estelle Roe, SACBW regional leader for Mpumalanga, reminded members to enter the 2024 Business Women Recognition Awards. Information on how to enter is available on https://sacbw.org/.

A delicious breakfast was served, followed by an opportunity for networking and sharing.
